Hello readers today I am going to write about clothes. The article "It's the Second Dirtiest Thing in the World--And You're Wearing It" by Glynis Sweeny states that the clothing industry is the second largest polluter in the world. When I hear things like that It makes me guilty, because I buy and wear clothes. Even though I do those things I can help the environment by thrifting and not throwing away a bunch of clothes, instead reuse them for something else. The articles reveals how the shirt you and I are wearing right now are polluting the air, due to the pesticides used in cotton farming, toxic dyes. Organic cotton takes more that 5,000 gallons of water to manufacture just a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Cotton is nearly 40% of our clothing, and also one of the most chemically dependent crops in the world. Basically the article was about how the fashion industry in hurting the world. I do think that is true, because we can see all the changes that the fashion industry has made. A Collection

Hello readers, today I will be writing about collections. A good collection must tell a story, the customer has to want to be in the middle of the story. Generating a color story is also very important, each garment and color should compliment each other. To start a collection there should be a sketch of the garment idea. My groups spring collection is going to tell a story, a youthful story. All of our pieces compliment each other and flow through out the collection. Most pieces will have one thing in common, there will be a pop of dark red color. I think that the pop will add a different effect, perhaps a little maturity to the garment yet the garment will be youthful at the dame time. Our costumers want to put them selves in the middle of our story because our story is beautiful. We want our customers to feel young beautiful and confident. 1990's Fashion

Hello readers today I am going to write about 1990's fashion era. If I had to pick my favorite era for clothing, it would probably be the 90's. I like that era because the clothes look very stylish and comfortable.  The nineties were characterized by the rise of multiculturalism and alternative media. Movements such as hip hop spread around the world to young people during that decade. The gulf war was one of the major events that happened in that decade. New technologies were starting to develop. In the nineties youth culture responded to a lot of events. The launch of the Hubble Space Telescope was important. Many communist regimes collapsed.
Bleached blonde hair became very popular in the 90's as men with short hair with the bangs "flipped up". The Grunge hype at the beginning of the decade popularized flannel shirts among both male and female. The TV show "friends" became the most popular sitcoms of all time. Mood Boards

Hello readers, today I am going to write about mood boards. According to google's definition, a mood board is an arrangement of images, materials,  pieces of text, intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept. In other word a mood board is a board of ideas and inspirations for what ever one is going to make. In my group each person shared ideas and we all agreed to have soft colors and springy feeling to our mood board. When we got all the materials that we needed we noticed that a lot of the colors that we got was Eastery so we have a lot to work on to change the garments and to make them our theme. Creating a mood board helped my group to define our collection because that is where out inspirations and ideas are, it is nice to see them in front of you. There are different approaches to creating mood boards, for example you could just cut and pate you ideas or you can write words and do lot's of research before cutting and pasting, there are many different ways. Mood boards are a great source of inspiration and collaboration. Mood boards in a way shows every persons character in my opinion. But that is all I have for today, thank you for reading. Hello readers, today I am going to write about my trip to "Savers". Yesterday the whole class went to the thrift store "savers", we got a tour and shopped for what we might need. The reason why we went to a thrift store is because we are redesigning the garments into our own, and models are going to wear them for a fashion show. I learned that it is important to listen to your team mates and also share your own opinion. My group was looking for pastel, soft, light  colors that would fit our theme, which is spring/garden/floral. We got a lot of colors and flowers as well as some sparkle, because we want our models not only to look elegant but glamours as well. Over all we spent about 150$ worth of stuff. Our looks are going to look springy, elegant and glamorous, at least that is our goal. Thrift stores are great not only because it is positively impacting the environment but also the things that don't get get recycled or donated to the ones in need. Savers ships things that don't sell to other companies that look through the clothes and pick out things to sell or reuse. Reusing things is so good for our planet, by throwing clothes away hurts the environment and other lives. Lets save the environment and lives by shopping at thrift stores. Hello readers, today I am going to write about hairstyles. The oldest known depiction of braiding dates back to about 30,000 years. In ancient civilizations, women's hair was often elaborately and carefully dressed in special ways. From the time of the Roman Empire until the Middle Ages, most women grew their hair as long as it would naturally grow. During the first World War, women around the world started to shift to shorter hair styles that were easier to manage. Today people wear their hair how ever they want, long, short, ponytails, braids, you name it. Lately it has been a trend to have short or medium hair style. It also has been popular to dye bottom faded hair and dying hair different colors. Personally I love different hairstyles, I think that it compliments what you are wearing and it's pretty. Paris Fashion Week

Hello readers, today I will be writing about on of the shows from Paris Fashion Weeks. I watched Paul & Joe, fall 2017 look. There were a lot of looks and like in any show there are some that I didn't like, and some that I did. The set was beautiful, looked like it was in a mansion. Color scheme was very bold and earthly. I also noticed that a lot of the models were young. All of the looks looked comfortable, and I would actually wear some of them. The garments were modern with a hint of 90's.
