Toilet paper dresses

Picture 1
Hello readers, today I am going to write about toilet paper dresses that we made in our fashion design class. For this project we had toilet paper rolls, and a manikin. The whole group participated and we did our best. We all combined our ideas and created a unique wedding dress.
We started off with the top, using a small square of the paper and twisting it giving it texture an curved lines, as seen in picture 1. We continued to do that through out the top of the dress. The dress has a deep v in the from with ruffles on the inside edges. My group had trouble making the bottom of the dress unique ans interesting as shown in picture 3. Our idea was to make it a mermaid bottom but it looked funny, so with the help of out instructor we decided to make the skirt of the dress twisting with diagonal lines, which gives the illusion of slenderness. For the very bottom of the dress we crumbled the paper into balls then layed the long part down as shown in the last video.
Our dress is short, it only goes to the shins. Any type of body can wear this dress. For slender people the dress would fit great, and for bigger people the dress would fit great too due to the lines in the skirt, like I said before it gives the illusion that you are skinnier as shown in picture 2.

Personally I enjoyed working on this, it was a group effort and I think we succeeded. Above there are some more pictures and videos.
 THANK YOU FOR READING!
